Reflections On Becoming Brilliant – 2021 Year-end
Let’s face it, the last two years have been less than awesome, in more ways than one. The pandemic has brought a lot of heartache and sadness for many of us. On the other hand, this global commonality has been a bit of a gift; something that has brought many things into focus and given us the time and space to reflect. Reflect on our own lives as well as learning and growing and becoming more brilliant in ourselves.
The last (almost) two years have given me time to think about what my true purpose is and what it is to live my life authentically and in alignment with my own values. Don’t get me wrong. This hasn’t been an easy time for anyone, however, the time and space given to us, whether we wanted it or not, is something to be grateful for.
The time given to me has resulted in many personal a-ha moments and breakthroughs. Using mindfulness practices, journaling and self-care, I have become brighter and more brilliant than ever before. I have a voice and I use it, I am continuing to set healthy boundaries and, in turn, those boundaries benefit me and those around me. Although I have my down days, I can honestly say that, on the whole, I feel more resilient, stronger and happier despite the challenging time we are living in.
Here are just a few of the things along the way that have helped me get to this calm, peaceful place:
· Getting out in nature as much as possible
· Scheduling time for me - to read, learn something new, cook, journal, binge a Netflix series, or simply just be
· Setting achievable, measurable goals for myself to manifest and realize growth
· Creating a morning routine that sets the tone for my whole day
Why not make 2022 your year to find your brilliance? Set up a morning routine to make the whole day brilliant. Start a journal and write in it every day, even if it’s only a sentence or two. Clean out clutter in your home that doesn’t serve you well any longer, like donate ten articles of clothing you never wear or donate books you’ve already read so others can enjoy them, choose one new thing to learn such as calligraphy, a new language, how to cook something you’ve been afraid to try, learn to schedule time for yourself each day. There are so many options out there and lots of ways to learn online, like paying for an online course or finding a free one, YouTube, Facebook Groups; you get the gist.
My sincere wish for all of you is to live your best life in 2022. Make change in your life by making changes. Shine on and be brilliant lovelies!

Gratitude – December 2021
Welcome to my very first Suzanne Richardson Holistic Money Coaching newsletter! I’m really happy you stopped by.
As we inch closer to the holidays, I am very aware that I have a lot to be grateful for in my life. But it wasn’t always that way.
The day my dad passed away suddenly in 1996 was the day I shut down. I shut down for my children, for my husband, my sister, my friends, my extended family. I shut down for me. I could not get through my grief and I just existed like half a person for the next 20 years. It wasn’t until 2017 that I decided I wanted, and needed, to heal. So I began doing a lot of hard work on myself. I did it for me and for my daughters. The last few years of self-discovery and learning have been extraordinary. I’m in a wonderful place now, living wholly as my authentic self.
Part of my journey involved learning how to take care of myself. Self-care is a bit of a buzzword these days, however, a very important one. What does self-care look like? Well, it looks different for each of us. It can be getting out in nature, reading a good book, drinking a nice, big mug of hot tea, a bubble bath, learning a new language, walking the dog, going to the hair salon, doing a workout class, painting a landscape and even taking a nap. The list goes on and on. Gratitude, however, should be included in everyone's self-care regimen.
I keep a daily Gratitude journal. Each morning, I write down 3 things I’m grateful for and 3 things that would make that day great. There are so many things in life I am grateful for and it’s important to acknowledge those wonderful things and feelings. Happiness levels increase dramatically when we are grateful and actually honouring all we have to be grateful for!
I recommend to all of you keeping a Gratitude journal. If you’ve never written down your thoughts before, it may feel silly at first. Or boring. Or scary. Or even like a chore of sorts. In reality, it’s so simple and freeing! Trust me, once you’re in the routine of writing in your journal every morning (it only takes a couple of minutes so no excuses!) you will notice a huge shift in your happiness level and your mindset.
You deserve to be the happiest you’ve ever been and by taking this one little step forward, you will be well on your way to living your best life. Try it – you’ll love it!
A lovely, gratitude-filled holiday season to all of you!
